PhD in Biochemistry. Professor in the Biochemistry Department at the University of Patagonia San Juan Bosco, Argentina, and Principal Investigator of CONICET.
He was Director of the Patagonian Bioscience Institute (INBIOP), and Trinational Director of the Latinoamerican Center of Biotechnology (CABBIO), Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
DAAD scholarship holder at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and in the Westfälischen Wilhelms University of Münster in Germany.
Hector began researching oleaginous bacteria during his doctoral studies in Germany and he successfully identifies a particular bacterial strain that was capable of producing oil, when it was not known these microorganisms had such capability.
Presently, Hector is Chief Scientific Office at Abydos and leads the scientific vision of the company.
